The publisher has final responsibility for editorial standards, corrections, commercial separation and publication decisions across the US network.

Newsroom identity

Desk reports use the byline “Local Gazette US Newsroom” when several parts of the newsroom process contribute to a report or when a report is built from clearly identified primary records rather than one reporter's individual newsgathering.

Individually reported or contributed work receives a named byline when appropriate. We do not invent staff identities or imply that an automated system is a local reporter.

Ownership

Local Gazette US is an independent local-news network owned and operated by Joseph Biz under the Local Gazette name. It is not owned or operated by any city, county, school system, police department, political party or advertiser.

Funding and independence

The publication is supported by advertising, commercial partnerships and voluntary reader support. Payment never guarantees favorable coverage, removal of accurate reporting or influence over editorial decisions.

Sponsored material and advertisements are labelled and kept separate from independently selected news. Our editorial standards explain this boundary in more detail.
