The Local Gazette network

About Local Gazette US

Local Gazette US is building a network of distinct city and town publications: one shared platform, but a clear local identity, source network and editorial record for every active Gazette.

How an edition earns its launch

A place is not published merely because it exists in our national catalogue. An edition must have credible official and community sources, useful original coverage, licensed imagery, local service information and human review before it becomes public.

Accountable local reporting

We link readers to source material, distinguish news from paid content and correct errors openly. Advertising is handled separately from editorial decisions.

Publisher and ownership

Joseph Biz is Publisher and Editor-in-Chief. Local Gazette US is an independent local-news network owned and operated by Joseph Biz under the Local Gazette name. It is not owned or operated by any city, county, school system, police department, political party or advertiser.

The publication is supported by advertising, commercial partnerships and voluntary reader support. Payment never guarantees favorable coverage, removal of accurate reporting or influence over editorial decisions.
