Accuracy and accountability
Corrections and complaints
Local Gazette US corrects material factual errors openly. We do not remove accurate reporting because it is inconvenient, and advertisers receive no special influence over corrections.
Request a correction
Email [email protected] with the article URL, the statement you believe is wrong, the correct information and any supporting evidence. Please identify any safety, privacy or legal urgency in the subject line.
We aim to acknowledge a complete request within three business days. Complex requests may take longer while documents, recordings or involved parties are checked.
What readers will see
- Typographical changes that do not alter meaning may be fixed without a correction note.
- A material factual correction receives a visible note explaining what changed and an updated timestamp.
- Material corrections are added to the public register below.
- If a report cannot be corrected safely or fairly, it may be removed with an explanatory record where legally possible.
- New information that changes a developing story is normally labelled as an update rather than a correction.
Complaints and appeals
Complaints about privacy, fairness, attribution, conflicts or commercial influence can use the same address. If you disagree with the initial response, reply with “Appeal” in the subject line. The appeal is reviewed under the authority of Joseph Biz, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief.
