Author profile
Local Gazette US Newsroom
This desk byline is used when a report is prepared through the publication's shared newsroom process rather than the individual newsgathering of one named reporter.
How desk reports are made
- Potential stories are found through primary records, official notices, direct submissions and newsroom tips.
- The desk checks dates, place, key claims and the underlying evidence before publication.
- Reports are written in original language and visibly identify the sources readers can inspect.
- Technology can assist discovery, transcription, organization and drafting, but it cannot approve or publish a report.
- We do not invent staff identities or present software as a local reporter.
- A human editorial review is required before publication.
